World Environment Day 2025 - End Plastic Pollution

The Society for Community Organisation and People's Education (SCOPE), Trichy, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai, has inaugurated a 5-day Capacity Building Training Programme on Solid Waste Handling and Effective Management. This training programme spans across five days—18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd August 2025—and is designed to build capacity among stakeholders, civic officials, and professionals engaged in waste management.

In a remarkable outreach initiative, TCE EIACP organized a Mega Mass Mission LiFE Awareness Seminar, engaging more than 800 students in an impactful session aimed at fostering environmental responsibility. The event was expertly coordinated by Dr. A. Ramlinga Chandra Sekar, a renowned expert in waste management and AP Chemistry. Dr. ARC delivered an insightful seminar emphasizing sustainable practices and the urgent need for conscious living to protect our planet. His expertise and engaging presentation successfully created widespread awareness among students, inspiring them to actively participate in Mission LiFE — an ambitious global movement towards environmental sustainability. This event marks a significant step by TCE EIACP in educating the youth and empowering them to become proactive contributors to a cleaner, greener future.
